The Geovision GV-EBD8800 is an 8MP outdoor eyeball dome network camera built around a 1/2.7 inch progressive scan low-lux CMOS sensor. It captures 3840 x 2160 at up to 20 fps and combines H.265 compression with triple streaming, delivering 4K detail while keeping bandwidth and storage requirements manageable across multi-camera deployments.

Deep learning AI distinguishes humans and vehicles from other moving objects, powering perimeter protection rules including cross line, enter area, leave area and intrusion detection, along with face detection, people flow counting and crowd density monitoring. Integrated with GeoVision Video Management Software, these analytics support real-time alerts and event playback. Note that all perimeter protection rules can run together, but only one AI function group can be active at a time due to hardware resource limits.

A fixed 2.8mm F2.0 lens delivers a 112 degree horizontal field of view, and WDR Pro reaches up to 120 dB for balanced exposure in high-contrast scenes. Minimum illumination is rated at 0.01 lux in color and 0 lux with the intelligent IR active, which reaches up to approximately 100 ft. The camera includes a removable IR-cut filter for true day/night operation, a built-in microphone with G.711 audio, and a microSD slot supporting cards up to 512 GB. A 3-axis mechanism simplifies aiming, and corridor format is supported for tall, narrow scenes. The housing carries an IP67 rating and operates from -22 °F to 140 °F on PoE (IEEE 802.3af) or 12 VDC power, with ONVIF Profile S, G, T and M conformance for third-party VMS integration.
