This security camera microphone kit includes 1 indoor microphone, 1 60 foot premade cable, 1 12V DC power supply to amplify the microphone, and 2 BNC to RCA adapters to connect the cable to the microphone and recorder. The microphone lets you to add audio to any recorder with an RCA audio input and overlay it to one of the channels. The range is approximately 20ft but could be more or less depending on the environment.

The microphone is small and low profile so it can be mounted discretely in ceiling tiles, walls, light switch covers.

How it works: The main body of the mic is only 1 foot long. It has a connector for power (DJ jack) and the audio connector. It is connected to a pre-made 60ft cable using an RCA to BNC adapter like in the image below and the power connector on the 60ft cable. At the other end of the cable another BNC to RCA adapter is used to take the cable into the recorder or if using a camera with an RCA connector into the camera RCA (composite connector). The included power supply is used to amplify the mic by connecting to the barrel connector. The audio is configured in the recorder to overlay on one of the cameras and can be exported together with video.
