Customer Concerns

This store had a small sales floor with six-foot shelves covering most of it creating many blind spots. They needed a camera with a wide-angle field of view and high definition resolution so we could get above the shelves and get coverage of the whole store.

The owner wanted himself and two of his store managers to have access to their camera system footage from their mobile device at all times. A good remote viewing mobile app was important.

They also needed a camera pointing at the front door capturing incoming patrons. This camera needed to be able to handle the bright light that would be coming in from the glass door. We would need WDR (wide dynamic range) to handle this high contrast lighting environment.

The back entrance was a vital security concern. Several times the owner suspected internal shrinkage and the back door was the path of the least resistance for the thieves. They needed an ultra-high resolution camera with WDR to handle the bright light when the door was open.

A cash register camera was on the top of their list. They needed a camera that could identify the placement of each bill and the selection on the cash register screen. Once again ultra-high resolution video was needed to accomplish this task

Solution

Due to the demand for extremely high resolution as well as wide dynamic range ability for the front and back door cameras, we chose to go with the 2K IP camera system above. The small vandal proof domes provided powerful 4-megapixel resolution while also offering aesthetically pleasing design.
