Equipped with WDR - Forensic Capture to handle scenes with strong light variations, Lightfinder for exceptional light sensitivity, and P-Iris control for optimal clarity and depth of field, this versatile camera provides outstanding video quality in both strong and poor light conditions. Day and night functionality, together with Axis' built-in Night Vision solution, OptimizedIR, ensures an evenly illuminated view and excellent video quality even in complete darkness.

| Built-in Night Vision-LEDs and OptimizedIR
Axis' OptimizedIR technology is based on new, smart, power-efficient and patented LED technology. It is designed for easy, cost-efficient and environmental friendly installation. It results in high-quality, low-noise video, even when the environment is completely dark.
A too narrowly illuminated area will produce ‘white out or glare' in the middle of the scene, and some areas will not be correctly illuminated. On the other hand, a too widely illuminated area means that light will shine on objects outside the area of interest, and also that the viewing distance will be reduced. Depending on camera model, the Night Vision illumination with OptimizedIR can reach over 40 m (131ft.) with low, environmental-friendly power consumption, supplied by standard Power over Ethernet (IEEE 802.3af). |

AXIS P3224-VE Mk II is dust-resistant and IK08 impact-resistant, and has been designed for effortless and reliable installation. The camera features a varifocal lens and remote zoom and focus capabilities, which eliminates the need for hands-on fine tuning. AXIS P3224-VE Mk II can be mounted flush to a wall, ceiling or on junction boxes, and optional kits are available for recessed mounting or on pendants. Further, the camera supports versatile cable management with optional adapters for connecting to various conduits. The camera casing is easily repaintable in any desired color to blend into the environment. |
Axis Zipstream Technology
Finally, Axis' Zipstream technology lowers bandwidth and storage requirements by an average of 50%, while preserving high-quality images: Scenes containing interesting details are recorded in full image quality and resolution while other areas are filtered out, to optimally use available bandwidth and storage. |

This method applies a set of advanced algorithms to lower noise levels and increase the image signal, to display every single detail in the scene in the best possible way.
The result is video that is highly optimized for forensic purposes, ensuring all details are captured in both dark and bright areas at the same time - even in scenes with very complex lighting conditions.
Furthermore, Axis cameras with WDR - Forensic Capture provide the ability to seamlessly transition between WDR and low-light mode. Compared to other currently available WDR technology, this method makes it easier to detect and identify important details in a scene. |
Axis Lightfinder Technology
Lightfinder technology is a combination of Axis' expertise in image processing, in-house system-on-chip development and selection of the best optical components.Cameras with Axis' Lightfinder technology have extreme light sensitivity. Such cameras can deliver color images in as little light as 0.18 lux or lower.Compared with any analog or network cameras, the Lightfinder technology will give more life-like colors in low-light conditions.The noise reduction of the Lightfinder technology is vastly improved compared with any surveillance camera on the market, which in combination with the light sensitivity of the sensor gives a superior image quality.
