The Geovision GV-BX2400-2F WDR Day/Night 1080P HD Security Camera (12mm fixed lens) is a box camera that has a 12mm fixed lens and a 2 megapixel progressive scan CMOS sensor. It records high definition images at a resolution of 1920 x 1080, at the rate of 30 frames per second. This camera performs very well in extremely low light environments with a color lux rating of 0.08 and a black/white lux rating of 0.05. The WDR Pro enables it to fully utilize its CMOS image sensor for high resolution monitoring, and the 2 megapixel resolution gives a clear image for better surveillance applications. It uses H.264 video compression for efficient video streaming, saving power and bandwidth in the process.

The GV-BX2400-2F provides improved picture adjustments with its superior performance over standard Backlight Compensation (BLC) and software WDR functions. Its WDR Pro allows you view clearer scenes that would normally get washed out by backlighting, by combining the darkest part of the image with the brightest part to create a highly detailed and balanced image. This function is especially useful in an environment with constantly changing lighting conditions.The removable IR Cut Filter allows the use of an external infrared illuminator, making it easier to capture images even in totally dark environments. The POE option allows you to run both video and power over one Cat-5 cable. Videos and snapshots can be recorded locally using the built-in micro SD/SDHC /SDXC card slot.
