Geovision GV-UNP2500 2MP Mini IP Security Camera - 3.7mm Fixed Lens

The GV-UNP2500 mini camera offers an option for surveillance. Compact and small, this small camera is perfect for locations of limited space (e.g., behind an ATM).

A fixed 3.7mm lens provides up to 30fps @ 1920x1080 resolution. The camera is equipped with 1/2.8" progressive scan Super Low Lux CMOS, with a day and night electronic lens to provide a clear view anytime of a day. WDR provides the capability to make clear images out of strongly contrasted lighting. This works by taking the lowest lit portions of the image and combining them with the most well-lit, providing a much better image quality.

A couple of friends of mine and I purchased this camera for our dorm room. Most nights we will sleep with the door open and sometimes people would borrow things without asking. Sometimes we would get them back sometimes not. What is awesome about the camera is in a tiny dorm it is easy to hide the camera without feeling like your being watched by someone else. We only use the camera while we are sleeping or aren’t in the room. I didn’t bother installing the software and we use an SD card for storage. My roommate did use the camera with his smartphone and the results were fine. I think the reason for that was an overloaded wifi network. The camera adjusts between light and dark pretty fast and we just keep toying with it to see what else it can do.
