The Axis Communications Q1604 Day/Night Indoor IP Security Camera is equipped with a 1/3" RGB CMOS sensor, and delivers clear and crisp images in a 1 MP/HDTV 720p resolution. Featuring progressive scan technology, it assured that you will get smooth image capture for scenes with fast-moving objects. For video compression, this network device transmits multiple streams in H.264 and MJPEG video formats at either full frame rates or individually optimized for different quality needs and bandwidth constraints. An automatic IR cut filter enables the Q1604 to see down to 0.02 lux (B/W) making it suitable for low-lit indoor environments. The unique pixel counter ensures that the viewing angle is optimized for the monitored area and required pixel resolution. It allows the installer to easily verify that the camera installation fulfills regulatory or specific customer requirements on pixel resolution, like the face of people passing a doorway monitored by the device.

Two-way audio, motion detection, a SD/SDHC memory card slot, privacy masks, audio detection, and advanced security and network management features are included as well. In addition, the tamper detection feature can be configured to send out email or cell phone alerts if the Axis Q1604 IP Security Camera is meddled with, blocked, or spray painted.
