Warehouse Security Camera System
Large floor plans and multiple entrances often make warehouse security a challenge. Many warehouses carry millions of dollars in material so finding a security camera system that you can trust is crucial.
A1 Security Cameras has over 10 years of experience designing warehouse surveillance systems. We only use cutting-edge technology and offer the highest level of technical and customer support.
Below we have included a few details from a small warehouse that we worked with in Medford Oregon. We know that every warehouse is different so we highly recommend giving one of our security camera experts a call. We offer free system design and specialize in providing the most effective solution for your facility.
Bay door surveillance was important. They wanted to cover the doors from the inside to capture the merchandise unloading. Lighting was an issue with the bright light from outside blinding the cameras. Wide dynamic range (WDR) was vital for these cameras.
Outside coverage was necessary for all of their entrances. Low light was an issue at night so they needed cameras with exceptional visibility in little to no light.
Remote viewing from several of the manager’s mobile apps was important. They needed six people to be able to pull any camera in the facility from anywhere in the world at any time.
Each pallet rack aisle required and overview camera to provide visual footage of all of the forklift traffic as well as possible shrinkage issues.
This warehouse had a 1200 square foot office section in the front. They wanted a camera on the inside lobby watching the main entrance as well as a few of the common areas like the break room.
After our consultation session, we decided to go with the 12 camera HD CCTV system above. We chose the HD CCTV technology over IP due to the low cost and the long cable runs. The 1080p HD bullet cameras were a perfect one size fits all camera with True WDR for the bay doors and the versatility of being able to work both indoors and outdoors.
Security Camera Systems Features
The fixed length or vari-focal length refers to the ability to adjust the camera’s field of view. The smaller the lens size, the wider the field of view. Fixed lenses will be fixed for the life of the camera but vari-focal lenses can be adjusted to have the best field of view. Vari-focal lenses are two kinds, manual and auto. If you choose manual vari-focal lense, you will need to hold the camera adjust the focal length where as if you choose motorized vari-focal lens, you will be able to perform the same task from your computer. That is the main difference.
